3 Myths About Piano Lessons

Are these myths keeping you from trying out piano lessons?

MYTH #1: You have to learn piano from a boring method book. Nope! There are all KINDS of incredible songbooks, resources, and games you can use to learn to play the piano! In our studio we have kids learning from both traditional and non-traditional music books.

MYTH #2: To be an ideal student, you need to have a TON of time available to practice. This is a unicorn idea…a nice concept but completely fictional. You’d be amazed at how much you can accomplish in 20 minutes of practice, 3-4 days a week.

MYTH #3: You have to study Classical or old-fashioned music. Actually, you can study whatever you like! This can include pop, rock, oldies, or even movie and video game soundtracks!

The truth is, whatever gets you excited about music and makes your passion for the arts come alive…that is what we encourage students to study. After all, learning music is about coloring your world and expanding your creative side. And that is what we do at Presto Piano Studio.
